To qualify, each hospital has been carefully evaluated — and is regularly reassessed — for the quality of care, comfort, and services it provides. Staff at premier hospitals share our commitment to your health and well-being. We work together for the best possible outcomes.
Your Permanente physicians will let you know which hospitals deliver babies. You’ll be given a list of hospitals to choose from. Once you choose a hospital, you’ll have the opportunity to meet physicians who practice at that hospital during your regular appointments.
Here are some of your choices:
Yes. At premier hospitals, Permanente hospitalists and specialty physicians have your Kaiser Permanente electronic medical record at their fingertips, including your medication history, lab results, allergies, doctors’ notes, and X-rays. They also update your medical record with the details of your hospital stay, so you won’t have to worry about transferring any records to other Permanente physicians after you leave the hospital.
Whether you continue your care in a skilled nursing facility or need follow-up appointments with your Permanente primary care physician or specialist, your team will help ensure that the transition is as easy as possible.
In addition to your Permanente physicians at the hospital, a Permanente patient care coordinator will assist with your hospital stay and discharge. Once you are discharged, you can concentrate on your recovery while your Kaiser Permanente team eases your transition to follow-up care.
