Other Kaiser Permanente facilities

Medical centers

Kaiser Permanente medical centers are located throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC. Most of our 35+ facilities combine state-of-the-art technology, award-winning1 physicians, and a vast array of convenient services — all under one roof. In most cases, you can visit the lab, radiology, specialists, pharmacy, and your primary care physician in the same visit.

Urgent Care and Advanced Urgent Care

So what should you do when it’s 2 a.m. and you’re really worried about your child’s cough and fever? At a time when emergency room waits can be very long (and costly), a revolution in urgent care is way past due.

That’s why Kaiser Permanente has opened new, state-of-the-art Advanced Urgent Care centers, available 24 hours a day.

The physicians who treat you at our Urgent Care centers are Permanente doctors with access to your electronic medical record. They can view information about your medical conditions, surgeries and treatments, allergies, the medications you are taking, and more. If you’re not sure our Urgent Care is the right place, Kaiser Permanente members can also access medical advice by phone around the clock to help figure out where to go for care.

OUR URGENT CARE CENTERS USUALLY TREAT:

  • Flu symptoms, including sore throats and coughs
  • Sprains, strains, and fractures
  • Earaches
  • Eye or skin infections
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Cuts and scrapes

Skilled nursing facilities

For our members who require physical, occupational, or other rehabilitative therapies following an accident or illness, Kaiser Permanente teams with a number of skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC, that meet our high standards of care.
